Blue Mountain Maxi Cab, The Blue Mountains are a mountainous region and mountain range in the Australian state of New South Wales. This region is considered to be part of the western suburbs of Greater Sydney. Its foothills begin approximately 50 kilometres (31 miles) west of the state capital’s central business district, close to Penrith on the outskirts of the Greater Sydney region. The public’s conception of the Blue Mountains’ size varies, as they are only a portion of the Great Dividing Range’s extensive mountainous region. The Blue Mountains region is bounded to the east by the Nepean and Hawkesbury rivers, to the west and south by the Coxs River and Lake Burragorang, and to the north by the Wolgan and Colo rivers. It is geologically located in the middle of the Sydney Basin.
