Merrylands contains several churches, such as Merrylands East Presbyterian Church, St Margaret Mary’s Catholic Church, Merrylands Anglican Church, Merrylands Baptist Church, Merrylands Uniting Church, Merrylands Presbyterian Church, an Evangelical church, and C3 Church Merrylands.
In addition, there is a Heritage Catholic Micro-Cathedral in honour of Saint Raphael the Arch-Angel at the intersection of Warwick Road and Merrylands Road, which was not only the first and only Church in Merrylands, but also one of the most distinctively designed in Western Sydney, with a conventional-modern-neo-Gothic style. The Church of St. Raphael was conceived by Fr. Valerijan Jenko, OFM, OAM, then constructed and consecrated in 1973 by Dr. Stanislav Leni, assistant bishop of Ljubljana, Slovenija (previously Yugoslavia). The next structure to be constructed was the church hall. After its completion in 1983, the hall became a hub for cultural activities.
