The small suburb of Moore Park is situated in Sydney’s southern suburbs, 3 kilometers southeast of the city’s central business district, in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is a component of Sydney’s local government region.
Along with Queen’s Park and Centennial Park, Moore Park occupies a sizable portion of the Centennial Parklands, a grouping of three parks. The Centennial Park & Moore Park Trust, an organization under the NSW government, oversees Centennial Parklands. The lone exception is the property on which the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium are located; the Sydney Cricket Ground Trust is in charge of managing both stadiums.
