In the Australian state of New South Wales, in the Singleton Shire, you’ll find the village of Putty. It is located to the north-west of Sydney, on the Putty Road, which connects Windsor and Singleton.

Geography
The settlement can be found in a broad valley. The knee-deep Putty Creek, also known as the Tupa, originates in the north at the foot of Mount Kindarun. It then travels the length of the valley before joining forces with the Wollemi Creek, which ultimately flows into the Colo River.

Putty Valley Road, which is located adjacent to Putty Road (State Route 69) and is located 81 kilometres (50 miles) from Singleton and 91 kilometres (57 miles) from Windsor, provides service to the northern portion of the valley. On the other hand, Box Gap Road, which was relocated not too long ago, provides service to the south western end of the valley.

The land holdings in the region stretch to the outskirts of three national parks: Wollemi National Park to the west and south, Putty State Forest to the north, and Yengo National Park to the east.

Commerce
Although there are currently less major land holdings in Putty due to the proliferation of smaller hobby farms, the cultivation of livestock, most commonly beef cattle, is still done on a limited scale.

Sawn timber is produced on the eastern side of the Putty Road by a saw mill that uses raw materials that have been harvested in the nearby area.

Local businesses that provide services and trades include an earth moving company, a building and construction company, a licenced plumber, drainer, and gas fitter.
