Pyrmont is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, in the local government area of the City of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located two kilometers southwest of the Sydney CBD. Additionally, it is a part of the Darling Harbour area. It is the suburb with the highest density of people as of 2011.

With its wharves, shipbuilding yards, manufacturers, and wool stores, Pyrmont used to be an important part of Sydney’s industrial waterfront. The population and the area dwindled as industry left. It has been rebuilt recently with an increase in office workers and residences.
