Located in New South Wales, Regentville is a suburb of the city of Sydney. Located in the City of Penrith, which is part of Greater Western Sydney, it is 56 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. It may be found immediately south of Jamisontown on the eastern side of the Nepean River.

The primary thoroughfare in the area is named Mulgoa Road, and it gives access to Penrith and the M4 Western Motorway, which in turn allows easy access to the rest of Sydney and the Blue Mountains. There is a Sydney Trains station close by, and it is located at Penrith on the Western Line. The majority of Regentville is serviced by Busways’ Route 799, which travels between Glenmore Park and Penrith. Routes 797 and 795 also operate in the area, taking Mulgoa Road to reach Glenmore Park and Warragamba/Wallacia, respectively.

The Regentville Public School is the only option for education in the area. In the neighbourhood of Glenmore Park is the closest high school.

The Mulgoa, a Darug-speaking people, inhabited the area now known as Regentville before European arrival. They followed customary regulations that traced their origins to the Dreamtime and continued to control their hunter-gatherer way of existence. Bark houses (or “gunyahs”) were their commonplace dwellings. They subsisted mostly on natural flora and animals, hunting kangaroos and emus for food and gathering yams, berries, and other tubers.
