Riverview is a suburb situated on the Lower North Shore of Sydney in New South Wales, Australia. Riverview is situated inside the Municipality of Lane Cove, 9 kilometres north-west of Sydney’s central business district.

Tambourine Bay Park extends all the way out to the water’s edge.At the head of Tambourine Bay, it is situated on the northern bank of the Lane Cove River.Riverview is mainly a residential neighbourhood.

Riverview is home to a number of recreational sites. Marjorie York Reserve, named after a lifelong resident, is a playground near local stores that is extremely popular with families. Tambourine Bay Reserve is a large park located at the end of Tambourine Bay Road and Kallaroo Road that features grilling and picnic areas, as well as a playground. It is also a hub for bushwalks to Longueville and around the bay, and gives spectacular views of Tambourine Bay Road. In the cooler months, children’s soccer matches are played at Burns Bay Reserve, which is located in West Riverview. It features picnic and grilling facilities, as well as a playground, similar to Tambourine Bay Reserve. At the end of the path heading from Flaumont Avenue, there is a small recreation space with benches and a swing set.

State Transit provides service between Riverview and Sydney Central Business District via the 253 (Freeway) and 254 (Pacific Hwy) services, with departures every quarter-hour during morning rush hours and every hour during off-peak hours. Lane Cove’s retail establishments are accessible via Tambourine Bay Road, the primary road in the region. River Road West runs along the northern border of Riverview and provides access to Lane Cove West and Gladesville to the west and Longueville, North Sydney, and the Sydney central business district to the east.

Riverview derives its name from its location, which affords a “view” of the Lane Cove “River.” Saint Ignatius College was constructed in 1880.
