Balmain to the northeast and Lilyfield to the southwest are the suburbs that border Rozelle. Rozelle Bay, White Bay, and Johnstons Bay make up the southeast border, while Iron Cove lies on the northwestern border. As part of the enormous reclamation of Rozelle Bay and White Bay, which had started in the 1890s, these three bays encircle the container port of Glebe Island, which has been linked to the shoreline.
