St. Johns Park is a suburb of Sydney, located in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is situated 35 kilometres to the west of the central business district of Sydney, and it falls under the jurisdiction of the City of Fairfield in terms of its local government. It is included in the region known as Greater Western Sydney.

The Cabrogal people were the first known inhabitants of the broad Liverpool-Fairfield area. They made their home in what is now known as St. Johns Park. After the arrival of the First Fleet in Australia, the administration of the colony formally established this region as the parish of St. John. The name of the suburb originates from a connection to a St. John’s Farm that was located in the region during the nineteenth century, as shown on maps of the time.

By the 1890s, there was a public school on Parkes Road (now Edensor Road), a post office (opened in 1888), and a growing community, with an unusually large number of Italians, who had arrived in the 1880s after the failure of the Marquis de Rays’s expedition to New Ireland. Parkes Road is now known as Edensor Road. On Bulls Road, the Bellotti and Gava families both established vineyards for their families to enjoy.

Theodore and Samuel Serovich, immigrants from Yugoslavia, arrived in 1885 and began growing wine grapes shortly thereafter.
The postwar migration that took place in the 1940s resulted in the revitalization and expansion of the Italian and Yugoslav communities, and St. Johns Park continues to be a very multicultural neighbourhood today. There are still family members of the Gava and Serovich families residing in the neighbourhood. The chicory and wild fennel that are found growing along the banks of Clear Paddock Creek are remnants from when the first European settlers lived in the area.
