Wentworth Point Maxi/Taxi service to Sydney Airport

Wentworth Point is a suburb of Sydney, Australia, in the state of New South Wales. It is in the western part of the city. Wentworth Point is 16 km west of the central business district of Sydney. It is in the City of Parramatta local government area. It is on the south side of the Parramatta River, on the western side of Homebush Bay.

This neighbourhood used to be part of Homebush, which was named after Homebush Bay, which is on the south side of the Parramatta River and has both natural and man-made shorelines. Homebush was started in the 1800s by D’Arcy Wentworth, who was the assistant surgeon for the colonies. Michael Jones, a historian of local government, says that most people think Wentworth named the area after his “home in the bush,” but Homebush is also the name of a place in Kent. People don’t think it was named after a village in Kent because its founder, D’Arcy Wentworth, was Irish and had no ties to that county.

In 1976, the northern part of the peninsula was given the name Wentworth Point. The waterfront neighbourhood was renamed Wentworth Point on October 2, 2009, after the former Auburn Council asked the public for feedback on a plan to change the name of the Homebush Bay area to avoid confusion with the suburb of the same name. As a suburb, the area around Sydney Olympic Park was given its own government. The industrial area on Carter Street was taken over by the nearby suburb of Lidcombe, so the suburb of Homebush Bay no longer exists.

There are a few small shops, cafes, and restaurants in Wentworth Point. On November 21, 2018, a new super-neighborhood shopping centre will open. Marina Square at Wentworth Point[8] was built by Australian builders Billbergia. It has more than 40 shops, including a Coles supermarket.
About 18 hectares of land at the northern end of the point are owned by NSW Maritime. Plans have been made for this land to be used for boat storage and other things related to the water.

Both a bus and a ferry stop at Wentworth Point. It is also planned for a light rail line to go through the suburb.
The 526 bus goes to and from Wentworth Point from Burwood to Rhodes. The 533 bus goes from Wentworth Point to Olympic Park and back from Chatswood. On May 22, 2016, a second local shuttle bus began running.

At the northern end of Wentworth Point is the Sydney Olympic Park ferry wharf, which is used by Parramatta River ferries. Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, and Parramatta all have regular bus service. In 2015, the wharf was fixed up so that it now has two docks and moves faster.
In May 2016, the 300-meter Bennelong Bridge was opened across Homebush Bay. This made it easier for people to get to shops and the Rhodes train station. The only vehicles that can drive on the bridge road are buses and emergency vehicles. The bridge also has a path for bikes and people to walk on.
Stage 2 of the Parramatta Light Rail is a proposed light rail link between Westmead and Sydney Olympic Park that would go through Parramatta. As part of the project, a bridge would be built between Wentworth Point and Melrose Park over the Parramatta River.
There are no trains that go to Wentworth Point. Rhodes and Olympic Park are the closest stations.
