Wheeler Heights is a northern Sydney suburb in the Australian state of New South Wales. Wheeler Heights is located 22 kilometres north-east of Sydney’s central business district in the Northern Beaches Council local government area and is part of the Northern Beachesregion. In 1977, Wheeler Heights was classified as a separate suburb with the number 2097, but in 1984, it was transferred as a community within Collaroy. All communities were renamed Urban Places in 2001. Wheeler Heights, together with Collaroy Plateau, was re-established as a suburb in 2011 by the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales, following lobbying by the community, who had never considered it to be a suburb since it lost that status in 1984.
