In the Australian state of New South Wales, the suburb of Woodcroft is located in Sydney. Woodcroft, which is a component of the Greater Western Sydney region, is situated 42 kilometres west of the Sydney CBD in the local government area of the City of Blacktown.
Woodcroft was the State Brickworks in Doonside from 1969 to 1988. (and prior to 1969 it was the location of the State Timberworks). LJ Hooker, a real estate broker and developer, bought the land in 1989. Residential building after rezoning started in 1992, and Woodcroft was formally recognised as a suburb in 1996.
Richmond Road has a small independent shopping centre. Service stations, supermarkets, medical offices, and a range of independently owned and franchised fast food restaurants are among the amenities.
There aren’t many amenities like play spaces for kids, parenting rooms, or handicapped restrooms.
According to the Blacktown Social Plan, households in Woodcroft are significantly more likely to own one car than is typical for both the city of Blacktown and the larger Sydney metropolitan area. However, they are also far less likely than average to own two or more cars. This gives us a hint about the demographics of the local population as well as the transportation options available.
There are just three train stations accessible by public transportation: Blacktown, Doonside, and Quakers Hill. Most families only have one vehicle.
The Richmond Road or Quakers Hill Parkway are the two routes that connect Woodcroft to the M7 freeway. Since it opened in December 2005, this has facilitated access to Liverpool, the Hills District, and both the M2 and M4 freeways.
Free standing single homes are the most common type of property in the area; there are no flats and 19.0% of homes are townhouses, semi-detached, or similar. The standard of living in the area may be seen in the modern, low density homes.
